Pray for Families (Unity)

All week long, whether I was reading or in conversation, the term “unity” kept coming up. What a beautiful word. Unity. It signifies never standing alone. How powerful. But its absence can be devastating.

Being able to grow in authentic love (Christ-like) is an important step toward unity. If we allow ourselves to be lead by the Holy Spirit, he will help us grow in the fruit of the Spirit--love, joy, peace, patient, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

If we each strive to grow in these “fruits” and change our interior dispositions, what might the ripple effect be in our families, jobs, and community?

live in a manner worthy of the call you have received, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another through love, striving to preserve the unity of the spirit through the bond of peace: one body and one Spirit, as you were also called to the one hope of your call; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. Eph 4:1-6

Pray for increased unity in families. That each member may turn away from the “works of the flesh”(Gal 5:19-21) and grow in the fruit of the Spirit. (Gal5:22)

Peace, Love, and Joy,
Janet
