Pray for Marriages (Heal the Impossible)

Greetings Prayer Warriors,

For those in painful and difficult marriages, they know anguish, frustration, hurt, fading hope, and even sometimes despair. When one is in such emotional pain, ending the marriage always feels like the right thing to do. They may wonder and doubt if God can make something that seems so ugly, beautiful again.

This is precisely the reason we pray, because we know God can do all things. When one is in the desert, it’s difficult for them to see a way out. So we will pray in union with those in most need.

For those who doubt their marriage can be saved, give them the faith to pray,

“For nothing will be impossible for God.” Luke 1:37

For those who are frustrated by the difficulty of their relationship, may they realize they are in the company of His disciples when they surrender to the will of God and pray,

“Whoever wishes to come after me must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.” Matthew 16:24

For those whose anguish is paralyzing, may they be comforted by His promise,

“Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28

For those who are married couples losing hope, increase their faith as they meditate on Christ’s words,

“Your faith has saved you; go in peace.” Luke 7:50

For those experiencing deep loneliness in their marriages, may they put themselves in His presence, experience His tender love, and hear Him whisper,

“And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.” Matthew 28:20

St. Jude, powerful intercessor and patron saint of impossible causes, hear our prayers for marriage and take them to the feet of Jesus!

Peace, Joy, and Love,
Janet

Pray for Families (A Precious Gift)

Greetings Prayer Warriors,

Pray for families, in poem, praise, or petition. :-)

The Gift of Family

From the comfort of the womb to a cold sterile room,
Into the loving arms of my family
As a child oh so shy, learning not to tell a lie,
Sheltered by hugs of a family
As a teen in high school, hoping to be so cool,
Grounded by the love of my family.
Leaving to spread my wings, trying lots of different things,
Tethered by the love of my family.
Finding my true love, being sealed by the “Dove” above,
Wanting to start my own family.
Each gift from above, will find Truth and Love,
In the wide-open arms of a family.
May we see it as grace, that we may see His face
As we share His sweet love with our family.

Love one another as I have loved you.  John 15:12

Heavenly Father, thank you for the gift of family.  We praise you for parents who selflessly gave of themselves for our benefit.  We thank you for siblings that kept us in check. We thank you for relatives that ran interference when necessary, and genuinely loved us.  We thank you for guiding us through the hills and valleys of life, and for the angels you sent to protect us.  Please preserve the precious gift of family so that every child may know the love of a mother and father, and the blessing of siblings. We ask this, in Your most precious name. Amen.

May Peace, Joy, and Love flourish in your families,
Janet

Ponder,  pray, and give thanks for the gift of family.  Pass it on!

Pray for Marriages (Loving the Imperfect)

Greetings Prayer Warriors,

Many who are single are always looking for that perfect partner, one who is compatible and worthy of a lifelong commitment.  Similarly, many who are married are wondering why their spouse can’t be more perfect, more worthy of them.

The success of a marriage is not about finding the perfect person, but choosing to love the imperfect person that you’ve chosen to marry.

Loving someone is a choice.  Sometimes it’s a hard choice, especially after years of marriage.   But we are never alone.  The Lord stands with us, ready with abundant grace, waiting for us to ask for His help and to trust in Him.   One is only able to reach perfection in Him.

In love he destined us for adoption to himself through Jesus Christ, in accord with the favor of his will, for the praise of the glory of his grace that he granted us in the beloved. Ephesians 1: 5-6

Suddenly one may realize that marital success is not about control, but surrender; Surrendering to Him, allowing Him to teach you how to love as He does.

Make some time to pray for marriages, asking that spouses may be granted the grace to love more completely, more selflessly, more perfectly, through Him, in Him and with Him.

Peace, Joy, and Love,
Janet

Encourage someone to love more, perfectly in Him.  Pass it on!

Pray for Families (Tidal Waves of Healing)

Greetings Prayer Warriors,

Do you ever step back and just take in the glory of God?  Not just the beauty of the physical landscapes, but the works of His ever merciful and healing hands?  Have you ever observed the effect of continuous prayers, seemingly small but slowly, surely building like a tidal wave?  Then one day when we least expect it this wave makes it to shore and WOW!  Mercy, healing, transformation!

Never lose hope, never lose heart, and never stop praying.  Every prayer is like another drop in the ocean of mercy and love.  Once prayed, we no longer see our little prayer, for it is now part of something greater, something unfathomable, something Divine.

Rejoice always. Pray without ceasing. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-17

Offer everything as a prayer.  Every joy. Every sorrow. Every sacrifice. Every heartbeat. Every action. Every word, spoken or unspoken. Pray not only for your immediate family, but also for all of God’s children, especially those most in need of healing.  May your offering be most pleasing in His sight, and may the tides of mercy and love continue to crash on the shores of each and every heart.

Peace, Joy, and Love,
Janet

Keep the tidal waves of mercy and love coming.  Keep praying and pass it on!

Pray for Marriages (Respite)

The lost I will search out, the strays I will bring back, the injured I will bind up, and the sick I will heal, shepherding them rightly.  cf Ezekiel 34:16

Greetings Prayer Angels,

The LORD is my shepherd; there is nothing I lack.

Help me seek You out when I am feeling empty and alone....

In green pastures he makes me lie down;

When I am weary from the journey, and my burdens weigh upon me, carry me...

to still waters he leads me; he restores my soul.

When I run away in fear and choose a road to destruction, seek me out…

He guides me along right paths for the sake of his name.

And I will praise Your name forever!

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff comfort me.  Psalm 23

For You are my hope and my salvation!

Continue to pray that the Good Shepherd will quiet the storms in marriages, release those wedged in the bramble, drench the broken-hearted with His love, and restore hope to those in despair.

Peace, Joy, and Love,
Janet

For those stuck in the thicket, pray then pass it on!
