Pray for Marriages (Loving Simply)

Greetings Prayer Warriors,

Many years ago, I remember hearing someone tell the bride and groom the secret to a happy marriage.  “Be nice to each other and treat each other kindly. “  Really, I thought?  I know I must have chuckled or rolled my eyes at a comment that seemed so “un-profound”.   Fast-forward decades.  That comment now sounds simply brilliant!  If a husband and wife remain kind to each other in thought, word, and deed, the likelihood is quite low that they would ever divorce. 

May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting encouragement and good hope through his grace, encourage your hearts and strengthen them in every good deed and word.  2 Thessalonians 2:16-17

Let’s simply pray for marriages, that couples keep things simple.  May they commit to loving thoughts, kind words, and thoughtful actions, just one day at a time.  And when they are not “feeling it,” Lord make hast to assist them!
