Pray for Families (Now is the Time)

Greetings Prayer Warriors,

Every day I read about more change in the world that limits our God-given freedoms.  I guess that isn’t surprising as we’ve allowed God to be pushed out of our governments, schools, and public places.  Some of you or your family members may have pushed Him out of their homes too. Can you yet see that as God is pushed out, evil enters in??

The following are excerpts from messages (private revelation) from the Blessed Mother to a seer.  They are very fitting for these times and penetrate to the heart and soul.

“Do you not understand that the more you turn away from the love of God, the more the evil one takes hold of your hearts? I am “the Mother” and I will be close to you until the last day [of your lives], and I will sustain you during the final temptation of the evil one.” *

“Behold, your mother.” John 19:27

Moving away from the Lord moves us in the direction of Satan.  Now is the time to make a choice.

“But do you not realize that without our help you are losing all your strength? At this time, the Devil is ravaging my children who are the weakest in temptation. Be strong: only by nourishing yourselves with the Body and Blood of Jesus will you be victorious. I am with you in the same way that I showed myself to the little shepherds [in Fatima], pure and humble of heart.” *

Be sober and vigilant. Your opponent the devil is prowling around like a roaring lion looking for [someone] to devour. Resist him, steadfast in faith, knowing that your fellow believers throughout the world undergo the same sufferings. 1Peter 5:8-9

We are near an inflection point.  Now is the time to be alert, humble ourselves before the Lord, ask forgiveness, and be open to His grace.  We must pray and encourage those who have drifted away to do the same.  Pray, pray, pray! This is the way to bring about the conversion of your family.

The fervent prayer of a righteous person is very powerful. James 5:16

Peace, Joy, and Love,

Janet

Now is the time to pass it on!

Pray for Marriages (The Healing of Heartbreak)

Greetings Prayer Warriors,

Nothing is more tragic than for parents to lose a child, regardless the age of that child.  No one expects to bury a child, but rather, expects the child will bury them.  In all the grief, there is often self-blame, the should’ve, could’ve, would’ve, especially if the death was preventable.  Then there’s the finger pointing and the blame game.  Most grievous is when spouses turn on each other.

These are the marriages I’d like to pray for this week. Those in grief, and those at risk for allowing their anger and pain to create marital division.

Blessed are they who mourn, for they will be comforted. Matthew 5:4

Lord, you know which parents are in deep mourning today.  A disease, a shooting, a car accident, a drug overdose, a suicide, or other tragedy, took the life of their child, and you have called them home.  Although death is inevitable, it is so heart-wrenching when a couple has to endure the death of a child.  We pray for your grace to abundantly flow to them, and that your love may be a blanket of comfort to them.  Hold them in their grief.  May they feel your presence through their friends and family. Send your mother to console and guide them through each stage of grief, for she knows all too well the pain of losing a beloved Child.  Send your angels to battle the Sower of Discord, thus preventing marriages from being torn apart. May instead, they be more firmly united. Lord, renew their joy, increase their hope, and flood them with peace.  We humbly ask this, for we trust in your merciful love. Amen.

No trial has come to you but what is human. God is faithful and will not let you be tried beyond your strength.  1 Corinthians 10:13

Peace, Joy, and Love,

Janet

Prayer has the power to heal broken hearts. Keep praying and pass it on!

Pray for Families (Such Times as These)

Greetings Prayer Warriors,

Life is so fleeting, but often it’s not until we experience the unexpected death of a friend or family member that we are jolted into the reality of our mortality. We know neither the time nor the date that the Lord will call us home, yet we imagine long lives and don’t spend enough time pondering how we should use our precious time here.

But a storm is brewing… and the winds of change are shifting.

“When you see [a] cloud rising in the west you say immediately that it is going to rain—and so it does; and when you notice that the wind is blowing from the south you say that it is going to be hot—and so it is. You hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky; why do you not know how to interpret the present time?  Luke 12:54-56

The present time is at a crossroad.

  • Now is a time to ponder the state of your soul and take corrective measures
  • Now is the time to love one another unconditionally, and say “I love you” to your family
  • Now is the time to let go of worldly attachments and evaluate the control it has on your life
  • Now is the time to pray for eyes to see and ears to hear what all that we have been previously blind and deaf to
  • Now is the time to defend the truth and speak of Truth
  • The present time demands action; ask the Lord what He is calling you to do

Lord Jesus, as we live in our little bubbles, help us to see as you see and hear as you hear. Lend us your eyes and ears.  Provide us the grace to amend our lives.  Give us the determination to pray for our families more, and to witness your Love through our actions. Protect our families from harm, and all in the world that seeks to entice them away from you. Thank you for always seeking the lost sheep, even when that sheep is us. Shepherd us, and lead us to salvation. Hear the prayers of your warriors Lord, for we trust in your merciful love. Amen.

Be at peace!

Peace, Joy, and Love,

Janet

When lost, seek the Good Shepherd!  Pass it on!

Pray for Marriages (Reset, Recommit)

Greetings Prayer Warriors,

We all know marriages that need a jump-start, as they have stalled out. They are wandering without a compass. They’ve lost sight of their power source, and have become depleted. Inertia allows them to slip toward divorce, but what they truly need is to reawaken to the fact that Christ is their true power source, and the way, the truth, and the life.

Everyone in the crowd sought to touch him because power came forth from him and healed them all.  Luke 6:19

It’s easy to get stuck in a rut. But where to begin?  Prayer of course!  Prayer requires humility in both spirit and posture and draws one into conversation with Christ.  In Him we are able to recharge, refresh, and refocus, and recommit.  However, it is the collective prayers for marriage that provide the jumpstart, jolting stalled out marriages into second gear.

So let’s pray for the marriages of one another, our friends, and those we don’t know who are in desperate need of our prayers. Each marriage saved, will also positively change the life of someone else for the good. When a marriage is saved, a family is saved and a home is left intact.

Yes, in joy you shall go forth, in peace you shall be brought home. Isaiah 55:12

Peace, Joy, and Love,

Janet

May the Lord bless those who pray! Pass it on!

Pray for Families (The Power of Love)

Greetings Prayer Warriors,

Now more than ever, we are called to love our family.  Love those who argue with you, disagree with you, snub you, accuse you, and blame you.  Satan, seeks to divide and he is unleashing his power like never before.  His victory is seen in division and divisiveness.

The devil knows how to push every one of our buttons. It is in our complacency that he attacks, catching us off guard and unleashing our worst selves, hoping to stoke the fire of discord in the family.

Therefore, put on the armor of God, that you may be able to resist on the evil day and, having done everything, to hold your ground. Ephesians 6:13

You were made for times such as these to witness to the Truth.  Immerse yourself in the Word, that Christ’s love may radiate through you and disarm the other, for unexpected and unconditional love changes the soul it touches.

Indeed, the word of God is living and effective, sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating even between soul and spirit, joints and marrow, and able to discern reflections and thoughts of the heart. Hebrews 4:12

Lord, we pray for each member of our family and especially for ourselves, for we are weak, overly reactive, easily irritated, and quick to see others’ faults.  Thus, we humble ourselves before you now, asking for the grace to be a powerful witness to Truth and Love. May we not add to the discord, but become peacemakers; not judge, but listen more; not challenge, but question to learn; not react, but respond with patience and kindness. Unify and strengthen our families, Lord. You make all things possible.  In your mercy and compassion, help us bring your light in this darkened world. Amen.

Peace, Joy, and Love,

Janet

Love conquers all!  Pass it on!

Pray for Marriages (Virtuous Love)

Greetings Prayer Warriors,

Whether we admit it or not, at times we do enjoy looking at others and assessing... or perhaps judging. We know we shouldn’t judge a book by its cover” nor “judge a man until you have walked (a mile) in his shoes”, but perhaps we do because it’s too painful to look at ourselves in the mirror!

So instead, we look at another’s marriage and say or think, “I don’t know why he(she) stays with her (him)!”

Note to self: Perhaps it is you who don’t have eyes to see. You may be witnessing a person who has an abundance of virtue; kindness, humility, fortitude, patience, and charity. They may be enduring quite a bit, even the disapproval of onlookers such as yourself, but with joy they offer up every trial as a sacrifice to God.  And just maybe they are offering atonement for their own sins, as they realize that they haven’t been a perfect spouse either.

Since you have purified yourselves by obedience to the truth for sincere mutual love, love one another intensely from a [pure] heart. 1 Peter 1:22

Let us pray for those who persevere in marriage, especially when it’s most difficult. Let us pray for those who want to quit every day, but daily commit to just one more.

Lord, you continue to ask us to walk with you, but we fear the path you walk. Grant all marriages copious grace, especially those which are losing hope.  When they find themselves in the valley, give them your companionship and the courage to summit. Be their stability and their joy as they waver in the winds of change. Bless them as they sacrifice their will and glorify yours. Give us a supportive and caring heart, as you ask us to walk with each other, reflecting your unconditional love which never fails to enkindles faith and hope. Jesus, we trust in You.  Amen.

Thus all who dwell on the earth shall know, all who remain in the world shall understand, that nothing is better than the fear of the Lord, nothing sweeter than obeying the commandments of the Lord. Sirach 23-27

Peace, Joy, and Love,

Janet

Pray for Families (Spiritual Sickness)

Greetings Prayer Warriors,

When one is physically ill, it is often observable, and we feel sorry for the person with the wheelchair, copious bandages, or swollen appendages. When an ailment is more hidden, such as most cancers, spinal pain, or autoimmune diseases, we tend to have less empathy, at least at first sight.  Sin is similar in that we pity the obvious sinner, yet are oblivious to the more deadly evils that often lay hidden within one’s soul. While praying for the physically ill is very good, we can never neglect to fervently pray for the silent majority - the spiritually ill.

Sin is a transgression of the law of God in thought, word, deed, or omission. Sin unatoned for, kills the eternal soul.  If only we were as mindful of our soul as we are of our body! For vanity drives us to take care of our bodies, but it’s humility that propels us to take care of our souls!  Perhaps it’s time to stop and take a good look in the spiritual mirror.

If we say, “We are without sin,” we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we acknowledge our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive our sins and cleanse us from every wrongdoing. 1 John 1:8-9

The Blessed Mother gave the world a wake-up call a little over 100 years ago as to sin’s destructive path.  She appeared to 3 shepherd children in Fatima, Portugal under the title, “Our Lady of Fatima”. She pleaded, “Pray, pray much, and sacrifice for sinners, for many souls go to hell because there is no one to sacrifice and pray for them.”

She guided them further saying, “When you make a sacrifice pray, ‘O Jesus, this is for love of Thee, for the conversion of sinners, and in reparation for the sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary.'”

The little girl, Lucia inquired, “I have many things to ask you: if you would cure some sick persons, and if you would convert some sinners…”.  Our Lady responded, “Some yes, others no. They must amend their lives and ask forgiveness for their sins.”  With sadness, she continued, “Let them offend Our Lord no more for He is already much offended.”

Interesting to note that in her answer, the physical cure was the same as the spiritual cure.

Our Blessed Mother’s ultimate message regarding sin was “PRAY!”, especially, “Pray the rosary every day”. If you are reading this, you are most likely already a prayer warrior, but even warriors need reminders. Pray, fast, and sacrifice in reparation for the sins of your family. Get your “own house” in order first, because as you know,

The fervent prayer of a righteous person is very powerful. James 5:16

Janet

Pray for Marriages (Patience as Prayer)

Greetings Prayer Warriors,

Reflect on your day and contemplate all the time that was stolen or wasted on the mundane.  What if half that time, a quarter of that time, or even 10% of that time was spent in prayer?  It would make a difference!

Bored in a shopping line, carpool line, or medical waiting room?  Pray! Want to grumble regarding all the reasons for the delay? Practice patience, share a smile, and offer it as a sacrifice to God. Now that’s prayer in action AND the practice of virtue!

Better is a patient spirit than a lofty one. Do not let anger upset your spirit, for anger lodges in the bosom of a fool. Ecclesiastes 7:8-9

This week, take advantage of all the opportunities during the day where you want to grumble at someone or something and instead turn it into a positive by practicing patience as a prayer of petition for marriages.

This practice just might change you and those around you. Let us praise He who perfects us!

Peace, Joy, and Love,

Janet

Practice patience as prayer! Pass it on!

Pray for Families (Holding on to the Truth)

Greetings Prayer Warriors,

A war is being waged against truth, because so many in this world have pushed aside He who is Truth. When people reject the Lord and His teachings, Satan rises up in power. The Evil One considers himself a major “influencer” as he uses the media as his puppet to gain followers.

Think of the lies the media spews daily, such as:

  • There are more than 2 genders
  • Men can give birth
  • Abortion is “healthcare”
  • The U.S. is a horrible country
  • Socialism is great
  • Those who don’t follow the mainstream narrative should be silenced or imprisoned

This list can go on and on, but the question is, how do you decipher truth? Sometimes lies are much more comfortable to face than the truth. Can we recognize truth vs lie?  Will a diet of lies cloud our judgement? How will we know?

“If you continue in My word, you are truly My disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:31-32

Truth = Freedom.  Freedom is not doing any thing you want.  Freedom is the ability to do what you ought.

Jesus said to him, “I am the way and the truth and the life.  John 4:6

Christ will lead us to all truth.  Do you have the courage to follow Him?

Test everything; retain what is good. Refrain from every kind of evil. 1 Thessalonians 5 21-22

Let us pray for all families whose God-given rights and freedoms are under various forms of attack. Freedom of choice, freedom over their bodies, freedom over what is taught their children, freedom to speak the truth without reprisal, freedom of religion, and so on. Prayer is our greatest weapon.  Satan fears its power, especially the praying of the rosary. Thus, draw your weapon daily and enter into battle!

Peace, Joy, and Love,

Janet

We need more soldiers. Pass it on!
