Pray for Families (Such Times as These)

Greetings Prayer Warriors,

Life is so fleeting, but often it’s not until we experience the unexpected death of a friend or family member that we are jolted into the reality of our mortality. We know neither the time nor the date that the Lord will call us home, yet we imagine long lives and don’t spend enough time pondering how we should use our precious time here.

But a storm is brewing… and the winds of change are shifting.

“When you see [a] cloud rising in the west you say immediately that it is going to rain—and so it does; and when you notice that the wind is blowing from the south you say that it is going to be hot—and so it is. You hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky; why do you not know how to interpret the present time?  Luke 12:54-56

The present time is at a crossroad.

  • Now is a time to ponder the state of your soul and take corrective measures
  • Now is the time to love one another unconditionally, and say “I love you” to your family
  • Now is the time to let go of worldly attachments and evaluate the control it has on your life
  • Now is the time to pray for eyes to see and ears to hear what all that we have been previously blind and deaf to
  • Now is the time to defend the truth and speak of Truth
  • The present time demands action; ask the Lord what He is calling you to do

Lord Jesus, as we live in our little bubbles, help us to see as you see and hear as you hear. Lend us your eyes and ears.  Provide us the grace to amend our lives.  Give us the determination to pray for our families more, and to witness your Love through our actions. Protect our families from harm, and all in the world that seeks to entice them away from you. Thank you for always seeking the lost sheep, even when that sheep is us. Shepherd us, and lead us to salvation. Hear the prayers of your warriors Lord, for we trust in your merciful love. Amen.

Be at peace!

Peace, Joy, and Love,

Janet

When lost, seek the Good Shepherd!  Pass it on!
