Pray for Marriages (Loving Perfectly)

Greetings Prayer Warriors,

Not in the mood to love? How about to be loved?  He stands at the door and knocks.  Open the door that He may love you  perfectly.

Look to The Lord in praise and thanksgiving, for he is your refuge and 

    your strength.

Open your heart to God's tender love, that you may be healed.

Vow daily to surrender to His will, so He may show you the way.

Embrace His mercy and forgiveness, and  graciously  pass it on.

You will show me the path of life, the fullness of joy in your presence.  Psalm 16:11

Pray for all married couples that they may seek His love first, thus learning to love perfectly.

Pray for Families (Love conquers all)

Greetings Prayer Warriors,

This week as a group of spiritual friends gathered, we had a robust discussion on whether or not it was our role to perform one of the Spiritual Works of Mercy, to “admonish sinners”.  There was not a consensus, and as you may imagine it brought up of questions of who, what, when, and why?

Today’s gospel passage gives us some guidance.

How can you say to your brother, ‘Brother, let me remove that splinter in your eye,’ when you do not even notice the wooden beam in your own eye? You hypocrite! Remove the wooden beam from your eye first; then you will see clearly to remove the splinter in your brother’s eye.  Luke 6:42

Spend some time contemplating this scripture.  Removing a splinter is an act of love, and there are many ways to show Christ’s love.  How might you love a family member more?  How did Christ win hearts?  Don’t forget to begin with with prayer. 

 He shall sing before all and say, “I sinned and did wrong, yet I was not punished accordingly.  He delivered me from passing to the pit, and my life sees light.” See, all these things God does, two, even three times, for a man, bringing back his soul from the pit to the light, in the light of the living.  Job 33:27-30

Pray for Marriages (Rekindle our Faith)

Belief and trust in and loyalty to God*

Greetings Prayer Warriors!

All throughout Scripture are examples of Christ healing the afflicted.  The sinful woman at the Pharisees house, the blind beggar, the ten lepers, the woman with hemorrhages, just to name a few.**  After each healing, Jesus exclaimed,

“You faith has saved you; go in peace.” Luke 7:50

One has to wonder whether the healing they needed and received was well beyond the physical. 

If you did a personal inventory of your faith, your trust, & your hope in the Lord, where would you stand?

For those struggling in their marriage, if the Lord decided to heal your marriage tomorrow, or even give you the promise of a future healing, would you have the faith to stay?   Would the Lord be able to say to you, “your faith has saved you.”?

Let us pray for an increase in faith: for yourself, a special couple, and an unknown couple.

May the fire of the Holy Spirit descend like a torrential rain, and flood the hearts of the faithful you have bonded together in Holy Matrimony.  Reignite the flame of faith, hope,  and love.  Destroy the chains of doubt and discouragement.  Jesus we trust in you!

Pray for Families (Precious Gems)

Greetings Prayer Warriors,

Each member in our families is like a precious gem that has distinct and wonderfully unique qualities.  Joined together as a unit, this family chain has unparalleled beauty. 

I’ve created a simple acronym to help you pray for the building up of family members, so that the clarity of their inner beauty will shine forth.  For example, using the acronym for your inspiration:

Lord, for (name), I pray that they grow in faith, learn to glorify you in their actions, seek you in prayer, put others first, be quick to forgive so that love may grow, and know how important they are to our family and Yours.

F.A.M.I.L.Y. PRAYER

Faith in God

            The seed from which all fruit in our lives will grow.

Actions as a gospel message

            We can bring hope into the world though our actions.

Make time to pray 

            Our prayers can change the world faster than anything else we 

            can do.
