Pray for Marriages (Seeking Refuge)

Greetings Prayer Warriors,

When a marriage begins to fail and the lines of communication weaken, stress results.  Couples may seek refuge in various destructive ways such as food, alcohol, drugs, infidelity, silence, etc.  Most feel justified in their behavior. They hold anger and resentment as their shield, with fear masquerading as strength.  But in the end, truth reveals that anger and resentment are nothing more than a blanket that smothers the Life out of them.

Let us pray that couples are boosted by faith and have the confidence to trust in Him during life’s trials.   May they turn to Him for comfort and strength.

In the shadow of your wings I seek refuge, till the storms of destruction pass by. Ps 57:1

For those who feel forsaken in prayer, may they find peace in his Word.

"The LORD is the one who goes ahead of you; He will be with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed." Deut 31:8

For any relationship to flourish, you must spend time together. Schedule time to be with Him first.  Remove the noise and seek the quiet.  Be soothed by the Lord’s whispers.

Be still, and know that I am God. Ps 46:10

Peace, Joy, and Love,
Janet

Guide someone into the shadow of his wings.  Pass it on.
