Pray for Families (May the Spirit move!)

Greetings Prayer Warriors,

The Spirit is moving.  You only need to be quiet or filter out the noise that is so prevalent in this world to sense it.   Take a moment, be still, and feel His presence.

As a volunteer in a local hospital, I have the opportunity to visit with patients at different crossroads in their lives.  Some are facing their own mortality, some are dealing with a major illness, and others are rejoicing over a new birth.  It is at these crossroads that I sense the Spirit move and these beloved children of God, soften.  They have been blessed with new Light in their lives, even amidst their cross.  Just as one would look around the room if a light was suddenly turned on, they too begin seeking something or someone.   Whether they realize it or not, they are seeking Him.  He arrives in the hug of a family member, the unexpected visit of a friend, the kind words of a stranger, or in the caring smile of the medical staff.  It is in these times that one understands the gift of family, either biologic or spiritual. Whether a medical crisis or new birth, the family is brought together and new stronger bonds form.

Spend the weekend praying for your family, friends, and all your brothers and sisters in Christ who are in the hospital.  Pray that those hearts closed to Him will be opened.  Pray that those who experiencing anxiety or worry are filled with His peace. Pray that the lost sheep will be found and those caught in the thicket will trust His gentle assistance. Pray that all will be open to accepting the peace, love, and healing that the Lord wants to give them.  He may heal them in ways never imagined!

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give it to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid. John 14:27

Finally, pray for the caregivers of the sick. May they be blessed and renewed daily in their loving service.

Peace, Joy, and Love,
Janet

Prayer time is peace-time.  Pass it on!

Pray for Marriages (Military Spouses)

Memorial Day

Greetings Prayer Warriors!

Have you taken some time for reflection on this Memorial Day?

The Lord teaches us to love others more than ourselves. One example of this love is among those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces. Training, transfers, deployments, and wars keep the men and women of our armed forces always on the move, limiting their time with family. While giving their lives in service, many have lost their lives, leaving behind spouses and children.

No one has greater love than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.  John 15:13

Today let us pray in thanksgiving for all the sacrifices made by our military men and women that have benefited us as a nation. Let us especially pray for the spouses who carry the burden of being left behind to manage everything, that they may find strength in Him when they are feeling tired and lonely. Let us pray for the spouses who have been widowed, either recently or in the past. May their emotional wounds continue to heal, as He comforts them and leads them to restful waters. Finally, let us pray that we remain “one nation under Godso that we as a nation will never lose our right to be counseled, consoled, and comforted by a priest, minister, or rabbi, especially in our greatest need.

It was not you who chose me, but I who chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit that will remain, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name he may give you. John 15:16

Peace, Joy, and Love,
Janet

Bear fruit for others.  Pray.  Pass it on.

Pray for Families (Blossoming)

Greetings Prayer Warriors,

I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever remains in me and I in him will bear much fruit, because without me you can do nothing. John 15:5

That’s right, nothing.  Spend some time meditating on this verse.  All you achieve, acquire, produce, and reap is from Him.  Are you giving Him all the glory?

Perhaps you have family and friends who have separated themselves from the vine.  Give glory to Him by praying for them!  We are blessed to have a loving and compassionate God.  Through our prayers, we can bring our loved ones back to the Tree of Life where living waters will renew and refresh them.

And they also, if they do not remain in unbelief, will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again. Romans 11:23

As our prayers bear fruit, indeed, all praise, and honor, and glory are His!

Peace, Joy, and Love,
Janet

Help someone blossom on the vine. Pass it on!

Pray for Marriages (Healing Light)

Greetings Prayer Warriors,

Don’t you love the longer days of Spring?  The extra light makes you feel more alive, more energetic, and more joyful. The same is true when you allow more Light into your life.  He will make you feel more alive, more energetic, and turn sadness into joy.  Allow more Light into your marriage and it will strengthen your bond.

But for you who fear my name, the sun of justice will arise with healing in its wings. Malachi 3:20

Heal me, LORD, that I may be healed; save me, that I may be saved, for you are my praise.  Jeremiah 17:14

With your additional energy, spend more time in prayer for marriages.  Light can make it into the smallest cracks.  Pray that hearts that have hardened may begin to crack, allowing His healing rays to penetrate.

Peace, Joy, and Love,
Janet

Pray for an outpouring of Light! Pass it on!

Pray for Families (Joy and Laughter)

Greetings Prayer Warriors,

Plan some family time doing something fun!  There’s nothing like laughing to break down walls and create unity.

Then our mouths were filled with laughter; our tongues sang for joy. Then it was said among the nations, “The LORD had done great things for them.” Psalm 126:2

Pray for families, that they are blessed with more joy and laughter,

Peace, Joy, and Love,
Janet
