Pray for Marriages (A Labor of Love)

Greetings Prayer Warriors!

Happy Labor Day!  As we honor those who work, let us celebrate marriage, a true labor of love.  For nothing good in life exists without labor. Let us rejoice in those who have been married for decades who give hope to all those who struggle in their marriages.  In the same way that a weary mountain climber becomes inspired to continue climbing when he sees climbers at the top of the mountain, so too is it with a weary spouse.

So let us pray for those who have good, strong marriages.  May they never tire of laboring in love and may nothing ever break their bond.  May their love continue to strengthen and grow and may their relationship be a beacon of hope for those in distress.  May Christ’s light continue to shine through them to illuminate those who labor in the dark.

Arise! Shine, for your light has come, the glory of the LORD has dawned upon you. Though darkness covers the earth, and thick clouds, the peoples, upon you the LORD will dawn, and over you his glory will be seen.
Isaiah 60:1-2

Finally, I celebrate your sacrifice of prayer, a beautiful labor of love which I hope has nurtured a love of such “labor”.  I pray that your efforts will bear much fruit and bring about an abundant harvest.

Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few; so ask the master of the harvest to send out laborers for his harvest.” Matthew 9:37-38

Peace, Joy, and Love,
Janet

Pray that the Master of the Harvest touch the hearts of many more to labor in love and in prayer. Pass it on!
