Pray for Families (Sharing the wonder of Christmas)

Greetings Prayer Angels,

As I travel about, something feels different.  Things are now festively decorated in green, red, gold, and silver, but it definitely isn’t as clear as it used to be just what we are celebrating.  It doesn’t feel, look, or sound much like Christmas. Rather, it feels like gift-giving season.

This season, keep the spirit alive! Be loving, generous, and kind.  Be of good cheer.  Meditate on the first Christmas, and with child-like awe share your wonder with your family and others, especially with the young! Long ago we were given an amazing gift, the gift of a Savior.  Saving Love was born on Christmas Day; Irresistible, pure, innocent Love. New life came into the whole world and God hoped all would welcome Him and accept this precious gift.

The angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I proclaim to you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For today in the city of David a savior has been born for you who is Messiah and Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find an infant wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger.” Luke 2:10-12

Help your family and others know they were given a gift, a gift so rare, so valuable, and so eternal, that nothing in this world can compare with it.  All that they need to do is accept and welcome the gift that the Lord so generously gave each and every one of us.

Spend time in prayer, so that all may be open to receiving the greatest gift of all for Christmas.   May the twinkle in your eyes draw people to you, just like the star of Bethlehem drew the shepherds and kings.  Then, you too can share the story of this Gift.

Peace, Joy, and Love,
Janet

Tell the story of Christmas with the eyes of a child. Pass it on!
