With the turn of a calendar page and 2012 appearing, I love the idea of a fresh start, perhaps a new perspective. By making resolutions, everything bad can be left with the previous year and we can resolve and agree to begin anew. If you make but one resolution, make it be to love. And keep in mind that love is an action, not a feeling.
Love is patient, love is kind. It is not jealous, (love) is not pompous, it is not inflated, it is not rude, it does not seek its own interests, it is not quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury, it does not rejoice over wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. 1 Cor 13:4-8
Now read it again slowly, allowing the words to touch your heart, so you might know how you are to change your heart. Love, it is the only resolution you need this year.
May the Lord make you increase and abound in love for one another and for all, just as we have for you, so as to strengthen your hearts, to be blameless in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his holy ones. 1 Thes 3:12
Pray that all marriages will grow in love throughout the year.
Peace, Joy, and Love,
Janet
