Greetings Prayer Warriors,
As we progress into Lent, perhaps now is a good time to look
at the Lenten promises we made. Did we
give something up? Add something
positive? Never got on board? Well it’s not too late. Perhaps you are being called to a Lenten
practice that will strengthen your marriage, or the alms of prayer to
strengthen someone else’s.
Obedience is better than sacrifice. 1 Samuel 15-22
Behold, I come to do your will, O God! Hebrews 10:7
Here are some ideas to incorporate into your married life
for Lent. Consider them a sacrifice of
love, a sacrifice of praise! Were we not
commanded to love one another?
- Stop the negativity and introduce positivity. (If you can’t say something nice, don’t say it!)
- Catch your spouse in the act of doing something good; praise them!
- Do something unexpected and kind for your spouse.
- Tell them what you love best about them.
- Pray for your spouse.
The list of ideas is endless, but make Lent a time to focus
on either your marriage or to pray for another’s marriage. Pray with an expectant heart.
Answer me, LORD, in your generous love; in your great mercy
turn to me. Psalm 69:17
Peace, Joy, and Love,
Janet
Be positive. Pass it
on!
