Greetings Prayer Warriors,
Privacy is something highly prized. What we do, what we say, how much we spend,
how we behave, what we think--whose business is it anyway? (Persuasive self-talk.) Although we can guard our privacy and hide
our secrets, everything is visible to God.
One day will be standing before Him, bound by the chains of our own
making.
There is nothing concealed that will not be revealed, nor secret that will not be known. Therefore whatever you have said in the darkness will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered behind closed doors will be proclaimed on the housetops. Luke 12:2-3
We stand exposed. Those acts of self-indulgence, that idle
gossip, the cursing, the jealously, the bad decisions, the lack of charity; oh
how long that list will seem! But
instead, we see loving eyes, ready to forgive anyone who humbly asks for His mercy.
How blessed we are to
have a God who is Love and Mercy Himself!
Lord, hear our prayers for each other and for our families. Help each of us to grow in the virtue of
humility. Strip us of all that we have
kept hidden or even shamelessly flaunted. Help us to examine our hearts each
day, amend our lives, and seek the grace to grow in our love for others. Break our chains and set us free, so that with
heartfelt gratitude we may proclaim your love and mercy to the whole world!
Peace, Joy, and Love,
Janet
