Prayer Warriors,
As
Mother’s Day approaches, say a prayer of thanksgiving for your mother. Whether she was a saint or a sinner or
somewhere in between, it doesn’t matter because she said “yes” to bringing you
into the world and YOU are a gift.
Heavenly Father, you above
all knew the value of mothers and thus chose to send your Son into the world
through a woman so that He might experience the gift of a loving mother. Understanding the importance mothers, you
designed it so that no child would be born without one. What a blessing! Lord, just as you poured abundant grace upon your
own mother, the Blessed Virgin Mary, please do the same for every mother so
that by your grace they may more closely emulate her holy motherhood. And Lord, for those people who no longer have
a mother, would you please share yours? Thank
you! May Mary bring the same joy to them that she forever brings to you.
