Greetings Prayer Warriors,
There is a hidden blessing in the togetherness that occurs as a result of staying home. While for some it may be and continue to be an adjustment, getting to know your family members better bears the sweet fruit of newly found intimacy, for everyone longs to be known, and longs to be a part of the whole.
Reconciling what a family is, and what it should be, takes effort on everyone’s part.
Wives, be subordinate to your husbands, as is proper in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and avoid any bitterness toward them. Children, obey your parents in everything, for this is pleasing to the Lord. Fathers, do not provoke your children, so they may not become discouraged. Colossians 3:18-21
Yet with the smallest effort on our part, the Lord will always meet us more than half way.
He will turn the heart of fathers to their sons, and the heart of sons to their fathers. Malachi 3:24
Lord, grant us peace in our homes, and order our families according to your will. May we see ourselves as we really are, and choose to amend our lives. Help us to grow in the virtues that are most lacking in our lives. May we grow as a domestic church*, with you at the center, that all glory, honor, and praise many be yours!.
Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is begotten by God, and everyone who loves the father loves [also] the one begotten by him. In this way we know that we love the children of God when we love God and obey his commandments. For the love of God is this, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome, for whoever is begotten by God conquers the world. And the victory that conquers the world is our faith. 1 John 5:1-4
Lord, grant us the gift of faith so we may conquer all that opposes you in the world! Amen!
Peace, Joy, and Love,
Janet
Pray that through togetherness, faith may blossom! Pass it on!
