Greetings Prayer Warriors,
Depending on what news services you follow, you may or may not be aware of churches being burned and religious statues being desecrated. Add to that the destruction of marriage and family (as the Lord designed it), the hook-up culture, abortion, and lawlessness, and only God knows where all this will lead. We can surmise that it won’t be to a holier nation! Sometimes I think we Christians in the world are like frogs in a pot slowly being brought to a boil. The slow temperature (culture) change is so subtle that before we know it, we will wonder how we got in the pot!
A war is being waged for our souls and those of our family. Anyone who has children of any age realizes this. We must be ready to fight for the souls of our loved ones and the soul of the nation. Now is the time to make sure you have all the armor of a warrior and are prepared for battle!
Put on the armor of God so that you may be able to stand firm against the tactics of the devil. For our struggle is not with flesh and blood but with the principalities, with the powers, with the world rulers of this present darkness, with the evil spirits in the heavens. Therefore, put on the armor of God, that you may be able to resist on the evil day and, having done everything, to hold your ground.
Armor is not optional. You must equip yourselves for battle. Read the gospels so that you may share His message of peace. Know your faith so that you will not be left vulnerable to the Father of Lies. Become righteous by amending your life and receiving the sacraments, especially the sacrament of reconciliation. Cleansed and clothed in Christ, may your ears and eyes be open to discerning truth and destroying lies and may you always stand in readiness to do the will of God.
So stand fast with your loins girded in truth, clothed with righteousness as a breastplate, and your feet shod in readiness for the gospel of peace. In all circumstances, hold faith as a shield, to quench all [the] flaming arrows of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Ephesians 6:14-17
Additionally, place yourself under the mantle of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Always have a rosary in your pocket to pray, for it is our Blessed Mother who upon hearing your voice, will come to your aide and crush the head of Satan.
Finally, draw your strength from the Lord and from his mighty power. Ephesians 6:11
