Greetings Prayer Warriors,
Saints are so inspiring! They just seem to get it;
to understand the spiritual world at a completely different level.
I am reading about St. Therese of Lisieux today. She was simply
virtuous. She exhibited such purity of intention, childlike trust, and
generous love that her witness of faith transformed those around her.
These would be such powerful qualities in any relationship,
but consider what would happen if both spouses exhibited these virtues in
marriage. Purity of intention not
prideful manipulation; Child-like trust not child-like behavior; Selfless and generous
love, not conditional love.
"Amen, I say to you, unless you turn and become like
children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself
like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 18:3-4
As we lift up marriages in prayer, let us pray for purity of
intention, mutual child-like trust, and an increase in the generosity of our love.
