Greetings Prayer Warriors,
As I was pondering late last night what to write about, it suddenly
struck me what perilous times we are in. Will we still be praying for marriage
as we know it, in a month, a year, 5 years?
If sex is now about recreation not procreation; if marriage
is considered only a contract between two people not a covenantal sacrament; if
marriage is about the happiness of the adults at the expense of the children, and
children are now mere possessions that adults aspire to acquire, what does that
leave us? Where does that leave society? Will our selfishness result in our extinction?
It’s no wonder that I was struck by the scripture I read
this morning:
Pray without ceasing.
1 Thessalonians 5:17
Lord we pray for eyes to see, ears to hear, a loving heart,
wisdom to know the truth and the courage to speak the truth in love.
Son of man, you live in the midst of a rebellious house;
they have eyes to see, but do not see, and ears to hear but do not hear. They
are such a rebellious house! Ezekiel
12:2
We pray dear Lord for you to preserve marriage as you
created it and you intended it. Help us to
see how we ourselves have fallen short of your ideal. May our prayers help the all of us to see
clearly, that we, like Saul, may regain our sight and be filled with the Holy
Spirit.
Immediately things like scales
fell from his eyes and he regained his sight.
Acts 9:18
Peace, Joy, and
Love,
Janet
Help someone to
regain their sight. Pass it on.
