Greetings Prayer Angels,
August is in full swing and it is a time of travel and
transition in both small and large ways.
Lives are in flux as many become wanders seeking adventure, change,
stability, or even healing. Families are vacationing, collegians are returning
to college, while others are taking physical and spiritual journeys, such as
friends of mine walking the Camino de Santiago.
Conversely, others travel to survive, as they seek safety as is the case
with the Christians being persecuted in Iraq.
Joseph rose and took the child and his mother by night and departed for Egypt. Matthew 2:14
Today let us pray for these pilgrims that they may be
blessed with safe passage no matter where their travels take them. May the hand of God protect them, guide their
footsteps, and be their GPS (God Protection System) to prevent them from becoming
physically, spiritually, or emotionally lost.
Lord, You protected
and guided the Holy Family as they took flight and journeyed a long distance
throughout the night. Like them, may we
have a pure, childlike faith, knowing that You will also protect us along the
way, sending angels as our guides. When
we travel in darkness, may You illuminate our path, helping us know which road
to take. May we always keep our eyes fixed on You, so that our love for You may
not be diverted. May our hope be
unwavering, as You first lead us to our earthly home, and then to everlasting
life in You. With Your outpouring of
grace may we increase in faith, hope, and love.
Jesus we trust in You! Amen.
Peace, Joy, and Love,
Janet
May our prayers go viral and celestial! Pass it on!
