Greetings Prayer Warriors,
Love. We crave it. We
want it. From relationship to relationship, from one marriage to another, we
seek it unceasingly. We must quench the
yearnings of our hearts.
But our hearts were made for God. Only He can satisfy our cravings and fill the
emptiness of our heart. Ironically, as our culture is becoming more and more
secular, the Giver of Love is put on the sidelines. We see as never before a decline in marriages
and an increase in the divorce rate, as many move forward seeking love in a
multitude of relationships that ultimately fail.
On my bed at night I sought him whom my soul loves—I sought
him but I did not find him. “Let me rise then and go about the city, through
the streets and squares; Let me seek him whom my soul loves.” I sought him but
I did not find him. The watchmen found me, as they made their rounds in the
city: “Him whom my soul loves—have you seen him?” Song of Songs 3:1-3
Peace, Joy, and Love,
Janet
