Greetings Prayer Warriors,
In life, I have learned a thing or two. I can barely (or rarely) sing on key. That doesn’t dampen my desire to sing though,
for why not praise God with the voice He gave me? If God wants to hear glorious
sound, He can gift me with vocal prowess! I am a pretty good friend, but
probably not great. I want to love well, but anger and resentment often run
interference. I can be generous when I
want to, but do I give (of self, of things, of money) until it hurts? I could go on and on, but since this isn’t a
confessional, I’ll just say that without Christ, I would fail at everything!
For you are my fortress, my refuge in time of trouble. My
strength, your praise I will sing; you, God, are my fortress, my loving God.
Psalms 59:17-18
In every aspect of my life, I invite Him in, especially
in my marriage. I ask you to do the
same. Would you commit/recommit to that now? For Christ can right the wrongs,
push one to apologize, deflate your pride, soften your responses, and elevate
your praises. He can silence your intended verbal jabs, snuff out your anger,
and help you to see how He views your spouse…which is with the most tender and
compassionate love.
Lord, refresh any
marital love that has been tainted, snuffed, or distorted. Restore it to that
of a newlywed, love filled with trust, hope, and joy. In you all is possible, so we pray for those
who feel too defeated to ask on their own behalf. Hear our prayers!
Let my prayer be incense before you; my uplifted hands,
an evening offering. Set a guard, LORD, before my mouth, keep watch over the
door of my lips. Do not let my heart incline to evil. Psalms 141:2-4
Trust in the promises of Christ, and pray, pray, pray!
Peace, Joy, and Love,
Janet
Prayer is simple, powerful, and perfect. Pass it on!
