Greetings Prayer Warriors,
Today and all
weekend long, please offer up prayers for mothers.
So be imitators of God, as beloved children and live in love,
as Christ loved us and handed himself over for us. Ephesians 5:1-2
From the beginning,
a mother gives of her flesh and blood that we may have life. We enter the world
to a sweet smile, a soothing voice, and the warmest touch. Her gentle strength can burst forth like
lightening as a warrior for good, that guides, admonishes, encourages, and praises.
Over time, we eventually begin to realize the extraordinary wisdom the Lord has
bestowed on mothers. God so cherished
mothers that he wanted his only begotten Son to not only enter into the world through
one, but to have her by his side for his entire life. Mothers are an
extraordinary gift, as they not only feel our joy and pain, but carry it too. What
a blessing mothers are!
Near the cross of Jesus stood
his mother. John 19:25
Mothers give so
much and expect so little. Give your mother and the mother of your children the
extravagant gift of your time, your attention, and your prayers. Everything else is all bonus!
